Dr. Leonardo Quezada, Psy.D., is a first-generation student with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology at Worcester State University. Leonardo recently graduated with his doctorate degree from William James College, with a concentration in Latino Mental Health and Children and Families. 

 Leonardo’s main focus in his career has been working with children and families, especially those of the Latinx community. He hopes to provide support to bridge the disparity gap between mental health services and the Latinx community. He provides services in both English and Spanish and enjoys incorporating various modalities into treatment. During his training, Leonardo worked in various community mental health centers across Massachusetts and did his APA internship in New York, working with children and families and providing neuropsychological testing. 

 As part of his graduate studies, he conducted research with the guidance of his advisors, which looked at levels of religiosity and willingness to seek mental health treatment in the Latinx community, which emphasizes his understanding of various cultural considerations within the Latinx community and how he would like to incorporate culture into mental health treatment.

Dr. Schembri is a clinical psychologist with 60 years of experience treating a wide variety of populations and problems. He has received degrees from St John’s University, New York University, and Boston University. He has taught, supervised, and mentored many advanced doctoral students from a variety of major institutions of learning, the most recent being William James College. He has done psychological testing as well as consultation with industry and corporations, providing stress seminars to the likes of Boston Scientific. 

He is an expert in developing licensed clinics and has accomplished five single-handedly. He is an expert in achieving Joint Commission Accreditation and has received two of these, again single-handedly. He was called upon by the Taunton School Department to develop a screening device for identifying violence in children in the wake of the Columbine tragedy. He has developed a non-medical intervention for children with ADHD and ODD with a 100% success rate. He is the only psychologist who owned his own licensed mental health clinic with a staff of 30 clinicians and the only triple board-certified child psychiatrist. 

Dr. Schembri has been married for 56 years and loves spending time with Beatrice. He also loves tennis, jazz piano, old black-and-white movies, and friends and family. He is presently writing his memoir, Tales from the Couch.

Andrew has built his career on the basic belief that growth happens in the real world and not within the sterile walls of an office. His work in Animal Assisted Psychotherapy has been featured nationally and internationally, and he has founded and consulted on scores of programs and treatment centers. Clinically, his approach is experiential and draws upon Gestalt practices to illicit growth in the here-and-now moment. His goal is for clients to find camaraderie to work through life’s challenges through hands-on experiences with animals.

Andrew also oversees clinical services at AVIV at New England Medical Group at our Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Levels of Care in Milford, MA.

Jessica E. Kehoe is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in addiction psychiatry. She is skilled in assessment, diagnosis, and medication management for patients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Jessica formulates treatment plans and coordinates care with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality care to high-risk patients. She uses evidence-based research to support treatment decisions and orders and reviews diagnostic tests for treatment.

Jessica has extensive experience working in various healthcare settings, including Boston Medical Center and the Office of Boston Public Health Commission/HCRC. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, and is currently a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner degree candidate at Northeastern University.

Jessica has published several research papers, including one on implementing the “72-hour rule” methadone for opioid withdrawal management and another on sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections among patients presenting to a low-barrier substance use disorder medication clinic.

John Mannion is a dedicated and experienced Provider with extensive experience in psychiatric and addiction medicine.

John obtained his Bachelor of Science in Facilities Engineering from Massachusetts Maritime Academy in 1998 and his Associate of Science in Nursing from Labouré College in 2014. He then received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Curry College in 2017 and a Master of Science in PMH Nurse Practitioner from Northeastern University in 2021. In addition, he holds a certification in Buprenorphine and Office-Based Treatment of Opioid Use Disorder.

John has held various nursing roles at Boston Medical Center, including Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, OBAT Clinic Nurse, and ABOVE Clinic Nurse. In these roles, he has provided comprehensive assessments and individualized care plans for patients with various mental health and addiction issues. He has also worked as an OBAT Nurse at Mattapan Community Health Center, where he supervised Suboxone induction and scheduled maintenance visits in conjunction with the primary care provider.

In addition to his clinical experience, John has worked as a Home Care Nurse at Advantage Nursing Care, providing professional nursing care to clients and families/caregivers. He has also worked as a Methadone Dispenser at Habit OPCO, assessing patients and monitoring signs and symptoms of withdrawal and over-sedation.

Duy Ly, M.D. is a Board Certified Psychiatrist with extensive experience in inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr. Ly completed his Doctor of Medicine degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine and his residency in Psychiatry at Harvard South Shore Psychiatry Residency Training Program, where he also served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Ly has worked in various hospitals and mental health centers, including Tewksbury Hospital, Westborough Behavioral Healthcare Hospital, Pocasset Mental Health Center, and Arbour Hospital, where he served as a doctor on call. He has also served as an inpatient psychiatrist at Pembroke Hospital, Brockton VA Medical Center, West Roxbury VA Medical Center, and Jamaica Plains VA Medical Center, among others.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Ly has conducted research in schizophrenia and psychiatry and has published several articles in Schizophrenia Research and Current Psychiatry. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Psychiatric Association, American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry, and Massachusetts Psychiatric Society.

Dr. Ly is fluent in English, French, and Vietnamese. He is interested in substance and gambling disorders and enjoys team sports, hiking, exercising, and traveling domestically and internationally. He has also volunteered as a coach for Special Olympics and youth sports teams.

Aafaque Akhter, MD, is a highly experienced and compassionate physician. With over 20 years of experience, he is a sought-after expert in psychiatry, specializing in diagnosing and treating complex psychiatric conditions.

Dr. Akhter earned his medical degree from Patna University in Bihar, India, and completed his residency program at Harvard University. He is board certified in Psychiatry.

Throughout his career, Dr. Akhter has worked in various clinical settings, including hospitals, clinics, and private practices. He is skilled in performing comprehensive assessments, diagnosing and treating different medical conditions, and providing follow-up care to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Akhter is passionate about medical education and has served as a clinical instructor for medical residents and students. He is also dedicated to staying up-to-date with the latest medical research and advancements and regularly attends medical conferences and seminars.

Dr. Akhter is committed to providing personalized and compassionate care to his patients. He takes the time to listen to their concerns, educate them on their medical conditions, and work collaboratively with them to develop effective treatment plans. Robert is a highly experienced and dedicated psychiatric nurse with over 22 years of experience in nearly every patient care setting. With nine years of experience in psychiatric nursing, including Emergency Departments, Geriatric Psychiatry, and Travel Psychiatric Nursing, Robert decided to pursue a PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) degree at Regis College.

Robert`s experience as a Psych Emergency RN at Boston Medical Center and Geriatric Psych RN at Carney Hospital/Quincy Medical Center has provided him with a broad range of skills, including the ability to manage highly volatile patient populations using de-escalation techniques, psychotropic medications, and both physical/chemical restraints. Additionally, his experience has allowed him to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement culturally sensitive and patient-centered care plans.

As a PMHNP, Robert aims to provide the highest quality, culturally sensitive care. In addition, Robert is passionate about serving the community.

Our neuropsychological evaluation consists of tests administered over four hours that are then used to measure an individual’s intellectual, academic, and personality strengths and weaknesses. In addition, this testing service assesses the effects of underlying brain abnormalities that might affect an individual’s everyday life, such as attentional issues, executive function, dyslexia, low self-esteem, or lack of motivation. Each test is scored, analyzed, and compiled into a final report to help determine a differential diagnosis and further treatment plans. Additionally, an interview with parents is consulted with younger patients to evaluate steps moving forward.

Dr. Michael Xie brings a combined 23 years of experience in drug discovery and development (R&D), focusing on Central Nervous System (CNS), Oncology, and Immunology areas in pharmaceutical and biotech industries in the USA and China. Dr. Xie has a proven track record of more than 10 years of scientific research training in the academic setting.

Dr. Xie has successfully fulfilled various roles, from bench scientist to top executive in pharmaceutical and biotech companies. Dr. Xie had worked at Millennium (now Takeda), Synta, EPIX, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Pharmaceuticals, Zebra Biologics, and Jing Medicine Technology.

Dr. Xie was a founding CEO and served on the Board of Directors at Jing Medicine Technology, Shanghai, China. Currently, Dr. Xie serves as Chief Strategy Officer at Copley Healthcare and a Group Counselor at New England Medical Group in Massachusetts, USA.

Dr. Xie has a BS degree from Shanghai Medical School (now Fudan University Shanghai Medical School) and a Ph.D. degree in Neuropharmacology from Northeastern University. Dr. Xie did his postdoctoral training in the Department of Neurobiology at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Xie completed his Addictions Counselor Education Program (ACEP) at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, in February 2023 and is currently a LADC candidate.

Dr. Kunle is an Internal Medicine and Addiction Treatment Specialist Massachusetts. He has been in practice for more than 20 years of medical and healthcare management. Dr. Kunle specializes on Substance Abuse and long-term care management and care, working with the largest acute and long-term care facilities like Fairlawn Rehabilitation Hospital. He received his medical degree from the University of Ibadan Medical School and completed his residency at St. Vincent Hospital.

Stacie is a certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a focus on substance use disorders and Mental Health. In her free time, Stacie help charity organizations, he has been a volunteer for Community Head Start Children’s & Pre-K Health Physical Assessment, Rock Bridge HOPE Medical Clinic, and American Heart Association

Danny is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience in healthcare. Danny`s focuses on providing psychiatric care to patients with substance use disorders and treatment of addiction. Danny`s clinical interests are comprehensive treatment and wellness programs aimed at improving patients` lives.

Chantal is a motivated Nurse Practitioner with experience working with patients of different ages and diagnosis. Chantal is passionate about providing high quality care and improving patients’ life. Chantal is certified to provide medication-assisted treatment for substance use disorders.

Helen Macharia is a highly skilled and experienced healthcare provider based in Massachusetts. As a dually board-certified PMHNP and FNP with active DEA-X and MCSR, Helen is passionate about patient care and education. With over a decade of experience in substance abuse, mental health nursing, chronic disease management, and psychotherapy, she is dedicated to providing high-quality patient care.

Helen has worked in various clinical settings throughout her career, including outpatient psychiatric care, inpatient drug and alcohol abuse treatment, and community nursing. Her expertise in performing comprehensive assessments, diagnosing mental illness, developing treatment plans, and providing follow-up care has led to many successful patient outcomes.

In addition to her clinical work, Helen has held leadership positions such as Regional Clinical Director, Assistant Clinical Director, and Clinical Insurance Manager. In these roles, she oversaw clinical operations, managed personnel, and ensured compliance with regulatory requirements.

Helen holds a PHMNP Graduate Certificate from Liberty University, an MSN in the Family Nurse Practitioner track from Endicott College, a BSN from Curry College, and an ASN from Bunker Hill Community College. She also holds a Master of Science in Finance and Accounting from Curtin University and a Bachelor of Commerce from Daystar University.

Robert is an attorney with over 25 years of experience in a successful solo practice of law and strong relationships in the community. Robert has been involved in establishing and developing successful businesses in New England area and has been an advisor for numerous companies in diverse industries, including health and wellness. Robert earned his BA in Political Science at the University of Massachusetts and completed the program at Western New England College School of Law. Always looking for new ways to help people, Robert has extensive experience in working with medical providers assisting their patients get high quality home healthcare services.

Phil is a seasoned healthcare professional that has advised and led healthcare organizations for over 30 years. His experiences encompass the entire spectrum of healthcare, physician practices, community hospitals, nursing homes, insurance companies, life care centers, university medical centers, and biotechnology.

Prior to joining Copley, Phil was the founder and Managing Director of Sentient Partners, a firm started in 2001 to focus on improving operational efficiency, serve in leadership positions, provide counsel in merger and acquisition activities, and to conduct valuations of privately held physician practices in the eastern U.S, and worked as a healthcare consultant for KPMG.

Phil maintains several certifications including a CPA, a CVA, and is a Fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association. He earned his BS from Florida International University MS in Accounting. From the University of Kentucky.

Mark is an attorney and an interpreter with over 25 years of experience, over which he has successfully appeared before all trial courts in Massachusetts and several courts across the country. Mark and his team of highly professional attorneys provide legal services in the varied areas and possess extensive experience of working with Management Service Organizations and medical businesses management. Mark has a BA in Political Science and Government, Economics from Rutgers University and a J.D., Law from New England Law Boston.

Telemedicine uses video and audio technologies to provide virtual appointments between healthcare providers and their clients, allowing patients to meet with our psychiatrist or psychotherapist from their homes or office. Our office’s default telehealth platform is Doxy.me. However, other platforms like Google Meet, FaceTime, or Zoom can be arranged upon request.

Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) or Medication Assisted Recovery (MAR) is a physician-supervised use of medication to treat opioid use, dependency & abuse. Studies have proven that medication-assisted opioid treatment is the most effective method, significantly outperforming traditional forms of treatment that rely on counseling alone. Additionally, while in most opioid use treatments, providers only prescribe medication, Copley Healthcare & Partners utilizes physician-dispensed medication as part of a comprehensive, evidence-based behavioral health treatment recovery program. Therefore, our method is a more effective & responsible approach to using MAT to treat opioid and heroin dependency.

• Dr. Shepherd graduated from Osteopathic Hospital of Maine and did his residency in Family Medicine at UMass Memorial Medical Center. Dr. Shepherd has worked in varied healthcare settings, including Heywood Healthcare Center, Heywood Hospital, Athol Hospital, West Boylston Family Medicine.
• Dr. Shepherd focuses on providing quality care to patients by working with the team of medical providers on disease prevention, timely diagnostics of illness and developing effective treatment plans to patients with various medical conditions.

• Dr. Aslam is an Internal Medicine Doctor with over 19 years of experience. During her career, Rachael has been focusing on working with addiction treatment and psychiatric services, providing complete continuum of care to patients.

Betty is a board-certified and licensed family medicine and psychiatric nurse practitioner, certified in addiction medicine with over 5 years of experience, who is passionate about providing treatment to patients in need and helping them to improve their lives. Ms. Yu is working with the patients with varied diagnosis, combining the best practiced with the individual treatment plans for each patient.

Rocky is a 15-yeal old Shih Tzu puppy who serves as an emotional support dog and cheers our clients and team. Being extremely loving and friendly, Rocky wins the hearts of anyone who meet him at the office or in the outside settings, bringing joy, calmness, and hope.

In his free time, Rocky volunteers at golf events and senior residence facilities where he cheers up the residents and makes new friends.

Shani Gavin dedicated most of her career to helping people. With over 8 years of experience as a first-responder and having personal experience of battling addiction, she decided to focus on helping people suffering from mental health and substance use disorders. Experience of working at different levels of care allows Ms. Gavin to help people navigate complex healthcare and treatment world, which gives patients a higher change of committing to the treatment plan and succeeding in changing their lives to the better.

Katya Antonova is an entrepreneur and a skilled business leader who brings over 11 years of experience in management, operations, and business development.

Harshith Somaya brings over 10 years of professional experience, working with the teams of various professional backgrounds and sizes, including team members of largest healthcare companies in the state of Massachusetts, like Partners Healthcare.

Mr. Somaya`s focus has been finding practical solutions to healthcare technology problems, automatization of processes with the focus on staying compliant.

Harshith earned his Masters Degree from Northeastern University.

Mr. Mohamed Haider brings a combined 24 years of experience in more than 30 countries covering R&D, operations, manufacturing, technology transfer programs and sales and marketing.

Mr. Haider serves on the Board of Directors for AWSOM (a volunteer non-profit organization focused on financial empowerment).  He is also serves as the CMO and on the Board of Directors for OPEN (Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs of North America).   Over the last 5 years, Mohamed has been focusing on helping healthcare businesses achieve business and financial goals, working with medical and non-medical teams.

Coming from a family of medical professionals, Mohamed has a deep understanding of providers` needs, and focuses on allowing doctors, nurse practitioners, and other medical personnel to dedicate time to providing care, while the non-medical team focuses on other aspects of the medical practice operations;

He received his BS in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Drexel University and an MBA in Engineering Management and has acquired numerous certifications in Leadership Training, Project Management, Scrum Management, Six Sigma, Project Management and Quality Control.

Jay Chaudhry is a serial entrepreneur with a track record of scaling and growing healthcare and technology businesses, as well as executing successful M&A projects both in the USA and globally. Over the past 10 years, Mr. Chaudhry`s focus was leadership, operation and business development in the healthcare industry. Mr. Chaudhry had been part of senior teams of successful healthcare and technology companies, including IBM, Oracle, Xerox, GE, Pfizer, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals, American Home Product, Genetics Institute. 

Having lost family members and close friends to addiction & mental health, five years ago Mr. Chaudhry decided to dedicate his life to help people suffering from the addiction, substance abuse and mental health working with medical team and a team of dedicated business professionals. He has worked with a number of community and national non-profit organizations dedicated to helping people suffering from substance abuse, behavioral health problems and advocating for women`s and children`s health. 

Jay is an advisor for multiple companies in renewable energy, Internet cyber-security, and healthcare technology, helping their teams with business & capital strategies.

Mr. Chaudhry had a BS / MS in computer information systems from Boston University and completed his Executive Business Management program at MIT Sloan School.
